Little Bison Preschool (Formerly known as Spring Into Preschool) 2.5 years old by September 1, 2024 Little Bison Preschool is a preschool program designed for our youngest learners. This class offers opportunities that support a child’s early learning in a smaller group setting. Little Bison Preschool classes focus on your child’s early social-emotional skill development and well-being including, turn-taking, sharing, trading, and playing with peers, and building experiences with preschool routines. A gentle separating class where parents are encouraged to attend with their child for the first session. In addition, there will be opportunities for parent conversations with other parents led by a licensed parent educator one time per month. Parent Education topics may include; creating positive routines at home, building a child’s self-regulation skills, learning strategies for adults to stay calm, how and why to use visual schedules, and more. Little Bison Preschool offerings include: Explore Nature (Montrose Early Education Center), STEAM (Hanover Elementary) and Little Bison Preschool-Ready For More (Discovery Elementary) Please note: Parents are responsible for transportation to and from preschool. 2024-25 Tuition Rates A $50 non-refundable registration fee will reserve a place for your child in the class 9 monthly payments are due September 2024 – May 2025 1 day per week = $45 per month 2 days per week = $120 per month No family will be turned away due to inability to pay.     Have you heard about the latest new app called TikTok? Learn how it's used and how parents can also help their kids stay safe while on it. You'll leave the class with helpful action items with your family to help gain a better understanding on what to do/what not to do within the app. The class will help set up a healthy foundation for technology habits your family members can use for the rest of their life whether in school or in their professional careers. Please note that each class is taught live online. If a student is unable to attend the live online training time, they can still register and watch the recording of the training at their convenience. Follow-up support is also included from the instructor and students are encouraged to reach out with questions at any time before or after the class has concluded.

  • Artistic Me: Little Houses

    Create some fun garden or plant décor. You will choose from fairy houses, bird houses or planters. Paint with some bright colors and welcome visitors to your creations. Items will be clear glazed and fired for pick up at a later date. This class is held at Artistic Me - 205 5th Street NE, Buffalo. Parents may drop off their child at Artistic Me or choose to have your child meet at the Community Education office in the Discovery Center to walk with a chaperone to Artistic Me.     Students will learn the proper stance, technique, and form for shooting a bow and arrow. Experienced instructors will provide hands-on guidance to ensure that each student is safely and effectively learning the skills necessary to become a successful archer. By the end of class, students will have developed a solid foundation in archery and confidence to continue practicing and improving their skills on their own.

    Develop your child's motor skills, hand-eye coordination, cardiovascular fitness and more through Amazing Athletes. Each 45 minute class encompasses two different development sport lessons, muscle identification and fruit or vegetable introduction using fun activities so they can build their skills, at their own pace, in a non-competitive atmosphere.

  • Bison Football Grade 1-6 Summer 2024

    Register on-line/phone CE @763-682-8770 by July 15 to guarantee a roster spot. Registrations received after July 15 will only be placed on a roster is space allows. The Jr. Bison Football Program is designed for students entering Grades 1-6 in the Fall of 2024. The football season begins Mid- August and concludes Mid-October. Grades 1-2 and 3-4 will play flag football. Grades 5-6 play tackle football. *EACH PLAYER PLAYING TACKLE IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN HELMET. Grade 1-2 and Grade 3-4 will play games on Saturday mornings, Grade 5-6 games will be on Tuesday evenings. There will be NO SPECIAL arrangements of players, we set our grade levels for safety and liability. This program relies heavily on volunteers to ensure its success.
