• When registering, complete the students profile with their legal First, Middle, Last names as it appears on their Birth Certificate. You will also be asked to include the best Email Address you want the State of Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) to send the Classroom Completion e-Card (formerly Blue Card) and Behind the Wheel Certificate of Completion e-Card (formerly White Card).

The package fee includes 30 hours of in-person quality classroom instruction with a school district teacher, ALL classroom materials and supplies and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with a licensed teacher you can trust. The classroom portion of the fee, $135, is non-refundable. Please check for schedule conflicts prior to registration. It is recommended students are age 15 by the last day of classroom instruction, or shortly thereafter, as this is the age the student needs to be to take the Written Knowledge Test.

Registration for July 27th class class ends July 21, 2026 or when the class is full.

Make-Up Session: One make-up session is scheduled on Monday, August 10, 8-11 am, at Montrose Elementary with Mr. Kyllonen if needed. Tardies and/or absence from one class need to be made-up. Students needing more than 3-hours of make-up time will need to retake classroom instruction and pay the $135 classroom fee.

Note: Driver’s Education is not funded by the State of Minnesota, therefore, all costs must be incurred by the family upon registering. (No discounts are available for the driver education program.)
