Becky Wallin

Hello! I am Becky Wallin, the Woodwind Lesson Teacher at Buffalo Schools. I teach clarinet, flute, oboe, saxophone, and bassoon. I have over 12 years of experience teaching 4th–12th Grade Band and K–6 General Music, in addition to 8 years teaching individual private lessons.

I have been playing the clarinet since 1987 and have performed with the Northern Symphony Orchestra since 2009. Along with my clarinet background, my extensive experience teaching Band and private lessons has helped me develop strong skills teaching all woodwind instruments. I have taught both individual and small-group lessons on every instrument I offer.

I regularly practice all of my woodwind instruments so I can better support my students during lessons. I frequently demonstrate fingerings, tone production, and proper embouchure techniques on my instruments to help students learn more effectively.

One of my greatest joys as a teacher is guiding students through every stage of their musical development — from opening their instrument case for the very first time to preparing for college auditions and beyond! I am passionate about teaching woodwind instruments and love encouraging students as they grow in confidence and musicianship.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you succeed on your musical journey!
